Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
Desk of One is a plain reading site. It has no accounts, no login, no newsletter, no comment section and no forms. The short version: we do not collect anything from you directly.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail — there is nowhere on this site to enter one.
- We do not set our own cookies.
- We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking scripts.
- We do not use an analytics product that profiles individual visitors.
What happens automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information your browser sends when it requests a page — including your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string — in order to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse. We do not receive this data as individual records, and we do not attempt to identify visitors from it. Cloudflare's handling of that data is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination — the software vendor or the affiliate network operating on their behalf — may place a cookie in your browser so that any subsequent signup can be attributed to this site. That cookie is set by them, on their domain, under their policies, not by us.
We receive only aggregate reporting from those networks: how many clicks and how many signups occurred. We are not told who you are, what you bought, or what you paid.
If you would rather not be tracked in that way, you can reach any vendor mentioned here by typing their name into a search engine instead of following our link. Nothing on this site is priced differently either way.
Children
This site is aimed at people running a business and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them — or, as above, from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request. If you are in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, and you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will answer.
Changes
If this site ever starts collecting something — a newsletter signup, for example — this page will be updated before that feature goes live, and the date at the top will change. It will not be changed quietly.
